Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK GREGORY CAMPBELL With deep sorrow, but surrounded by love, the family of Jack Gregory Campbell announce his death on June 19, 2001 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Jack was born, and spent his youth, in Kenora, the youngest son of Finley and Vivian Campbell. He had many interests in life, electronics and audio being his specialty. He worked in the field of radio and television, beginning as a young boy at CJRL radio in Kenora. He then spent several years as an engineer at CJOB radio in Winnipeg. He was chief engineer at CKGM in Montreal, putting the new radio station on the air for the first time. In Sudbury he worked to put CKSO FM radio on the air, and it was here he turned his attention to television. In 1965 he established closed-circuit television at the University of Manitoba, and was head of the Television Unit until his retirement in 1988. Jack made many wonderful lasting friendships over the years in radio and television and our boating days on Lake of the Woods. Jack was a devoted Anglican, and long-time member of St. Michael and All Angels Parish. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Doreene and son, Brian; brothers, Gordon (Nora) and Finley (Barbara) of Calgary; nieces, nephews and mother-in-law, Nellie Weare. Jack was predeceased by his parents, a brother in infancy, brother Colin and nephew Glen. The family wishes to thank all the many friends and neighbours for their thoughts and prayers and generosity at this most difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. M. Lertzman, Dr. S. Rosser, Dr. A. Morham and Dr. M. Fast at the St. Boniface Hospital. With respect for Jacks wishes, cremation has taken place. A requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Parish, 300 Hugo St. North at Mulvey Avenue on Tuesday, June 26 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Canon A. M. L. Klassen officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Michael and All Angels, 300 Hugo St. N., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N7 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Through the mercy of God, rest in peace. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
