ROSARIO (ROSS) A. LUSSIER Throughout his 94 years, Ross witnessed many changes in the world, all of which he marvelled at. His "joie de vivre" was evidenced in all his life pursuits and influenced all those people whose lives he touched. Predeceased by six sisters and two brothers. Ross is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Alice (nee Kinahan) his brother Leo (Juliette) his sons, Don (Joy), Rick (Stephanie) and his granddaughters, Stephanie, Claire and Aimee. Having found the love of his life Mary and marrying at age 36, Ross left the family farm and moved to Winnipeg. When Don and Rick were growing up, Ross and Mary spent many years enjoying lengthy car trips. He loved his cars and took great pride in each new model that he owned and willingly permitted his teenaged sons to enjoy the pleasures of the open road. A devoted family man, Ross loved to socialize with his extended family. His three grand-daughters were the light of his life and his interest in them never waned. We celebrate Rosss life by remembering his many attributes. He loved the simple things in life, nature, sous chefing at "Lac Du," hide-and-seek with his granddaughters, a good Scotch, the achievements of his two sons and, most of all, the companionship of his family and friends. Always the first to deliver compliments, he was modest about his own qualities and considerate of others needs. We wish to express out thanks to the staff on the 5th floor at the Victoria General Hospital for their warm personal care of Ross, especially Linda, Rika and Dr. Angus McGowan. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Cremation to follow. A private interment will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Foundation, 1350 - 1 Lombard Place, Winnipeg, MB R3B 0X5 or to a charity of your choice. "A truly warm and GENTLE man has passed into a better place."
