DAISY CLARA BARTLETT On Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the Lions Prairie Manor, Daisy Clara Bartlett, a life long resident of Portage la Prairie, passed away at the age of 96 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Monday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor David Heasler officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Daisy was born on August 4, 1904, daughter of Frank and Christina Brydges at Portage la Prairie where she was raised and received her education. She then worked out as a domestic housekeeper for several years. She married Almon Bartlett and they made their home in Portage la Prairie. She resided on her own until September of 1971, when she became a resident of the Lions Prairie Manor. In her earlier years Daisy enjoyed knitting and crocheting. After becoming a resident of the Manor, she enjoyed doing handicrafts, visiting with the residents and nursing staff. Predeceased by her husband Almon; sisters, Christine Gregory, Georgina King and several other sisters and brothers. She is survived by Jennie Demman of the Douglas Campbell Lodge and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by the residents and staff of the Lions Prairie Manor. Friends may call at the funeral home for viewing prior to the funeral service.
