ROSE BERGAL

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE BERGAL Peacefully, after a short illness, on Friday, June 15, 2001, Rose passed way at the Sharon Home, at 96 years of age. Left to mourn are her sons, Dr. Joe (Jean) Bergal of Surrey, BC, and Harley (Natalie) grandsons, Jeffrey, Gary (Trish) of Winnipeg, Don (Kristina) of Englewood, Col., and Mark (Iris) of Flossmoor, Ill.; her great-grandchildren, James and Samantha of Winnipeg, Eric and Hans of Englewood, Col., and Jake and Ryan of Flossmoor, Ill. Also left to grieve are her brothers, Hymie (Thelma) Perlmutter and Bert (Pearl) Perlmutter, and sister-in-law Marie Perlmutter, all of Winnipeg. Many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the United States also survive her. Nathan, her dearly beloved husband of 67 years, predeceased her in 1993. Her brothers, Morris, Jack and Harry and her sisters, Freda Swartz man and Shirley ONeil also predeceased her. Rose was born in Russia on February 22, 1905 and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1913. She was a truly vibrant woman and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family meant everything to her. She lived a full and active life and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon Home for the loving care afforded Mother during her short illness. Also, many thanks to the staff of Rosewood Village (Briarwood House) at the Waverley, for their loving attention during her stay. Graveside service was held at BNay Abraham cemetery on June 17, Rabbi P. Weizman officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jeffrey, Gary and Mark Bergal, and nephews Ari, William and Steven Perlmutter.
