WILLIAM JOHN KENNEDY On Friday, June 15, 2001 Bill passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre, at the age of 91 years, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill was predeceased by his wife Lillie; parents, William and Margaret; granddaughter Gail; daughter-in-law Ariel; sister Mattie; brothers, Sie and Art; brother-in-law Roy; and sister-in-law Ethel. He is survived by three sons and one daughter, Keith of Brandon, MB, Ross of Winnipeg, MB, Murray of Winnipeg and Judy (Raynard Wahl) of East St. Paul, MB; daughter-in-law Evelyn; grandchildren, Gary, Shelley, Jason, Karen, Karl, Jamie, Kory and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Adrienne, Barrett, Leah, Kyla, Kaitlyn, Reid and Shae; sister-in-law Clara; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born on March 1, 1910 in Imperial, SK and married Lillie McLeod in 1934. From 1940 to 1945 he served in the armed forces overseas in the Second World War. From 1948 until his retirement in 1973 Bill lived and worked in Snow Lake, MB for Britannia Mines and HBM&S. Bill and Lillie also owned and operated the Snow Lake Coffee Shop. He was a founding member of the Snow Lake Legion and was also a member of the Snow Lake Elks. Bill moved to Winnipeg when he retired and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
