JOSEPH POHL On June 21, 2001 our beloved father, Opa, brother and friend, left the pain and suffering of this life to stand in the presence of his trusted Lord and Saviour. He was predeceased in 1998 by his wife, Tabea. Lovingly remembered by his children, daughter Anita (Jurgen), grandchildren, Rena, Melanie, Michael and Stephen, son Ken, daughter Grace, granddaughter Terra, son Tim; sisters, Adina, Erna (Bill) brothers, Charlie (Rose), Harry (Anne) Rubin (Pauline), Erwin (Myrna) sister-in-law Edelgard; numerous relatives, nieces, nephews and friends. Joe was born March 10, 1926 in Porosow, Poland to Johann and Anna Pohl. Joseph immigrated to Canada in 1948 moving to Minitonas, MB with his family. There he met Tabea Fiks and married her in 1951. They moved to Winnipeg after the wedding where their home became the center for other young people and families moving to Winnipeg to live. Family, friends and his church were of utmost importance to him. Always grateful and thankful, his spirit of optimism and hope will always be remembered. The family wishes to express their thanks to relatives and friends who visited and encouraged Joe in his long months in hospital. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the McDermot Avenue Baptist Church, 821 McDermot Ave., with interment in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Monday, June 25 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with devotional at 7:15 p.m. and prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lake Nutimik Baptist Camp. "For Thou art my hope, O LORD GOD, Thou art my trust from my youth." Psalm 71:5
