ALLAN RALPH FORREST Peacefully with his family by his side, Allan passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Pembina Manitou Personal Care Home at the age of 86 years. Allan was predeceased in 1997 by his wife of 55 years, Susan (Mackie) Forrest. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Wilfred and Cecil; and by his sisters, Alice Hayward and Nettie Broadfoot. He will be sadly missed by his children, Donna Jean Cobb, Larry Forrest and Ross (Janet) Forrest; and his grandchildren, David and Susan Cobb, Wayne (Sherlyn) Green, Michelle (Cam Kauenhofen), Shauna Forrest, Jamie and Larry Forrest, Jennifer and Christopher Forrest; as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Viola Couzens of Calgary, AB; and his sister-in-law Ainie Martin of Treherne, MB; and many nieces and nephews. Allan was born and raised in the Manitou area. He farmed with his dad and then took over the family farm north of Manitou in the early 1940s. Allan enjoyed 55 years on the family farm with his wife Mackie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Andrews United Church, Manitou. Interment will follow at the Manitou Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Home Care staff and the staff at the Pembina Manitou Personal Care Home for their special care over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allans memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg. Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Morden in care of arrangements.
