SANDRA ELAINE JONES (nee BADGER) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Jones, June 24, 2001 at age 62, with her loving husband and daughters by her side, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Sandras memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 40 years, Bill; daughters, Karen (Dale), Debra (Richard), Brenda (Carl) grandchildren, Andrea, Derrick and Riley; siblings, Carole (Don), Bill (Sandra), Thora (Jim) brother-in-law Ron; sisters-in-law, Doreen, Irene and Eileen; nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her Mum Thora Badger; her mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Percy Jones; and her special sister-in-law Evelyn Jones. Those who knew and loved her will always remember Sandra for her unconquerable spirit, insurmountable selflessness and her limitless ability to love. Her concern was always for the happiness and well being of those around her even as her battle neared the end. She was admired and respected by all that had the honour of knowing her. Not a single person didnt want her to be their "Mom". Sandras greatest accomplishment was her devotion to her family. She was a dedicated and supportive wife, in love for 40 years, truly the greatest Mom in the world, as well as the "bestest Amma". Her support and love was undaunting, we will hold her memory close to our hearts and miss her forever. Sandras family would like to express sincerest gratitude to the caring staff of H4 at the Health Sciences Centre for the loving care provided to her. We would especially like to thank Lori Lynn for her incredible compassion and empathy. Friends are invited to celebrate Sandras life at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28 at Holy Trinity Church, Donald and Graham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandras memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 and the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
