ADOLF (AL) TREICHEL Al Treichel, aged 70 years of Emerson, MB, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on June 23, 2001. Al is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; two sons, Terry (Audrey) Treichel of East St. Paul, MB and Mark (Gwen) Treichel of Emerson; two grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley; their mother Kathy Treichel. The funeral service for Al Treichel will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. from the Emerson Complex in Emerson with interment to follow in the Emerson Cemetery. In memory of Al Treichel, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba at 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Wiebe Funeral Home Altona 204-324-5404 in care of arrangements.

I was young with not a care in the world. I had my father worried . AL had a dog, and I loved that dog.. I followed the dog into the back 40. I knew I was safe.. that dog wouldn’t let anything happen to me. But Lyle and AL came out on a four wheeler. I was covered in cockleburrs (burdocks). They found me with the dog.
