DAVID ALBERT BOND January 28, 1932 - June 23, 2001 Suddenly, on Saturday, June 23, 2001, David Bond, beloved husband of Beverley and devoted father passed away at the Grace Hospital. Dave will be sadly missed by his wife, Beverley; daughters, Gail (Ron) and Cheryl; sons, Donald (Debbie) and David (Ilona Heuchert) and six grandchildren, Chris, Stacey, Julie, Tyler, Ben Lord, and Amelia Lord. Dave also leaves a sister and her husband, Shirley and Don Wilton, and their family. Dave was born in Winnipeg on January 28, 1932 to Fred and Clare Bond. He obtained a degree in Commerce at the University of Manitoba in 1953. He married Beverley Grant the same year and they have enjoyed 47 years together. Daves outgoing personality and good business sense combined to establish him in a long career in sales, which he loved. His many interests include a passion for the outdoors, which included golf, hunting, and building a summer home at Sioux Narrows. Dave spent many happy years with his family-he loved to have his children and grandchildren around him. The summer home in Sioux Narrows has become his legacy to his family-a place where they can all gather and be together. In his long and happy association with the Gyro Club of Winnipeg, he held several positions, including President. He formed many of his life-long friendships during this 30 year association. Dave had a love of life and a great sense of humour. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at 7:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service time. The family would like to thank Darryl and Jim and the nursing staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for their kind and compassionate care during his recent stay. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
