DORIS (ODARIA) LUKOW (nee WILHANOWSKY) It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Doris (Odaria) Lukow on June 26, 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Odean Lukow; brother, Orest Wilhanowsky; son-in-law, Peter McVetty; and granddaughter, Alexandra McVetty. She was predeceased by her mother Michalina, father Nicholas, and husband Stanley. Mrs. Lukow was born in the city of Skala, Wester Ukraine. She came to Canada in 1937. Her fondest memories were of traveling with family through the Canadian Rockies, and time spent with her granddaughter Alexandra. A private memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. at Arlington, with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Lukows memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
