Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH SMITH HAUSER (PHILLIPS) (nee LOWE) Edith passed on peacefully after a lengthy and incapacitating illness on June 26, 2001, at the Fred Douglas Lodge. Edith was born in Ontario on October 27, 1908 and moved with her family first to Saskatchewan then to Winnipeg where she spent the majority of her life. Edith was a loving and caring person who touched the lives of many people. She was a longterm member and contributed freely of her time and effort to many of the organizations within Knox United Church. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, stepchildren, grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Hauser and is survived by her sister Rita McGregor; son David Phillips; stepchildren, Wayne Hauser, Kenneth Hauser, Adelaide Smith; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29 at 2:00 p.m. in Knox United Church Chapel, 400 Edmonton Street. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
