GOITOM (TOM) TESFASELASSE Mr. Goitom (Tom) Tesfaselasse, aged 40 years, of Thunder Bay, ON, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2001. Tom was born in Asmara, Eritrea, East Africa. In 1987 he immigrated to Canada, living in Winnipeg until 1997 when he came to Thunder Bay. Tom worked many jobs: at the Valhalla Inn, at H.A.G.I., and providing personal support services for physically challenged individuals. He was also a chemistry student at Lakehead University. Tom is survived by his loving partner Karen Lonergan, numerous friends in Thunder Bay, as well as three brothers, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews in United States, Switzerland and Africa. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. A Service of Remembrance for the late Mr. Tom Tesfaselasse will be held on Friday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 W. Gore St. at James, Thunder Bay, with Rev. Bert Vancook of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place in Toms home country.
