MARJORIE ETHEL CARLSON Peacefully Marjorie Ethel Carlson passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2001. Marjorie was born in St. Catharines, ON, on June 6, 1915. Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur earlier this year. Marjorie leaves to mourn her children, William (Corinne) and James (Diane) her grandchildren, Suzanne (Karl), Adam, Bryce, Kathryn, Mackenzie and Dane; and her great-grandchild Seth. Marjorie received her Home Economics degree specializing in dietetics/nutrition from Guelph University in Guelph, ON. Upon graduation, Marjorie worked as a registered dietitian in the Toronto General Hospital for two years before returning to her home in St. Catharines where she worked for a law firm. She met her dear husband Arthur at that time who was working for the City of St. Catharines in the same building. Marjorie was a devoted member of St. Georges Anglican Church and could be seen in her usual seat at each Sunday morning service with her husband Arthur by her side. In addition to her activities at the Church, Marjorie was very active in charitable organizations including the Childrens Hospital Book Market and the Manitoba Crafts Guild. Marjories primary love was spending quality time with her husband and her children and their families. Marjorie was a wonderful wife and mother and will be sadly missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for all of their help and support through this difficult time. A memorial service to celebrate Marjories life will be held in St. Georges Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton St., at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29. Interment will be at St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered and will live on in our hearts, homes and lives forever.
