Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA HOOPER (nee KERR) 1906 - 2001 Edna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at Lions Manor of Winnipeg in her 95th year. Born in Manitoba to parents Robert and Jessie Kerr, she grew up and attended the Elsmith School. Edna moved to Winnipeg where she continued her education and was employed in a doctors office. She married Don Hooper (R.C.M.P.) and resided in many towns throughout Manitoba. Predeceased by her husband Don in 1962, Edna moved back to Winnipeg where she was employed in a ladies dress shop until her retirement. Edna was also predeceased by her sisters, Jean, Mary, Margaret and Jessie; and her brothers, John, Robert, Hugh, Andrew and William. She is survived by her sister Marion Thompson of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews and their families. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Lions Manor for their excellent care and compassion during Ednas illness. Also to the kind remembrances paid each year to the widows of R.C.M.P. members at Christmas. Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 29 at 2:30 p.m. for family and friends at the Beaver Creek Cemetery, Manitoba. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Edna at Evergreen Memorial Gardens by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements. 857-4021.
