Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORTON ELLIOT NAIMAN On Saturday, June 23, 2001 after a lengthy illness, Morton Naiman passed away peacefully at the age of 56 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Morton attended the I.L. Pertz Folk School, Edmond Partridge Junior High School and the West Kildonan Collegiate Institute. Morton was predeceased by his adoring father, Saul. Left to mourn and cherish his memory are his loving mother, Bluma Naiman of Winnipeg; his loving brother, Dr. Harold Naiman of Las Vegas; his loving sister-in-law, Carol Naiman of Las Vegas; his adoring nieces and nephew, Danielle, Brittany and Shaun, also of Las Vegas. Morton will be sadly missed by his friends and family including Barbara, Eloise, and Alan Bogoch and Laurice Gerb. The funeral service was held at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel on Main Street on Sunday, June 24. Rabbi Peretz Weizman officiated and provided the eulogy and the traditional prayers. Interment followed at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. The following family friends acted as pallbearers; Harvey Diamond, Dr. David Meyrowitz, Earl Standil, Matthew Swirsky, Dr. Neil Swirsky and Gary Wolodarsky. Morton was a sensitive and outgoing person who loved to read books, especially dealing with history and politics. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mortons memory can be made to the Winnipeg Public Library. The family would like to express sincerest gratitude to all the health care professionals involved in Mortons care. Thank you to Dr. David Meyrowitz and his office staff for their expert care and gentle kindness. Thank you to Dr. Gerry Minuk for your medical expertise and your offering of heartfelt prayers for Morton. Thank you to Dr. Neil Swirsky and his wonderful family who helped in so many ways. Gratitude is also expressed to Dr. Jack Lezack and the nursing staff at Misericordia, Dr. Dane Hershberg, the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, as well as Monique Popp and Bernice, Caesar, Bahbe and all Mortons friends at Pagasa. Finally, thank you to Dr. Goldberg and the staff at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota, whose intervention provided Morton with two precious extra years of good quality life.
