Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEADIE TRAILL (nee COWIE) Surrounded by family, Eadie Traill passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 following a brief fight with cancer. Eadie will be remembered with love by her husband David; son Andrew; mother Mattie Cowie; nephew Bobby Cowie; niece Kimberly Novak (Dwane) and children, Analeigh and Connor, and her family in Ottawa; brother-in-law John Traill and sister-in-law Terry and their daughters, Ariana, Larisa and Corinna. Also special friends, Ellen Adams (daughters, Elizabeth, Elaine, Darlene, Allison), and Geoff and Kathleen Moore. Eadie was predeceased by her brother Robert Cowie in February 2001, her close friend Billy Adams in 1999, her sister-in-law Margaret Cowie in 1994, and her father Robert Cowie in 1961. Eadie was born on January 29, 1938 in Dumbartonshire, Scotland. In 1965, Eadie immigrated to Canada to begin a new life. A couple of years after arriving in Canada, Eadie met her Canadian sweetheart, David, and soon had him "speaking Scottish". They were married on a hot July day in 1969. Much of their time in the last few years was spent at the cottage at Laclu. Many wonderful memories were made with family and friends. It truly was Eadies favourite place to be. Eadie will be remembered by the countless number of co-workers she had during her working years. She worked in various fields throughout her life ranging from the Singer Sewing Factory to Mitchell-Copp Jewellers to various companies in the trucking industry. Besides her places of employment, Eadie kept herself busy with many different interests. Primarily she was interested in helping people "hands-on". If there was a need, Eadie was the first one there to organize what needed to be done. Not once did she ever seek the glory or boast about what she had done. Whether it was baking, cooking for a crowd, babysitting, volunteering for Beavers, being a hockey mom, caring for a friend or relative with an illness or being a canvasser for the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Fund and the Canadian Cancer Society for many years, she did it just because it needed to be done. Those of us who were privileged enough to call Eadie wife, mother, daughter, aunt and friend have been truly blessed. She was like no other and she will be sadly missed. Thank you to all our friends for our support throughout Eadies brief illness. Also thank you to the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Your kindness is appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. "As long as hearts remember, as long as hearts still care, we never part with those we love, they are with us everywhere." Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
