EVELYN FRANCES KUCHARSKI (MYSKOWSKY) Bowling Hall of Fame of Manitoba Inductee 1988 Peacefully went to the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour on June 29, 2001. She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband of 54 years Henry; daughter Connie (Kissel) son-in-law Jim; grandchildren, Blair and Sarah; three brothers, Edward (Anne) of Vancouver, Joey of Winnipeg, and Jimmy (Barbara) of Los Angeles. Aside from her family Evelyn would say her greatest joy was Ten Pin Bowling and she left a great legacy there. She served as secretary to the Winnipeg Ladies League for over 25 years. She was President of the Winnipeg Womens Bowling Association for 10 years; serving on their Executive Board from 1964 to 1977 at which time they honoured her with a lifetime membership. Evelyn was one of the founding members of the Manitoba Provincial Womens Bowling Association, where she also served as President for several years. She was Secretary-Treasurer of the Manitoba Ten Pin Federation as well as on the Board of Directors for the Bowling Hall of Fame of Manitoba. In 1983, she was awarded the Manitoba Sports Federations Outstanding Volunteer in Sports Award for her tireless efforts in promoting the sport of ten pin bowling. Evelyn worked long and hard for the sport she loved so dearly. She tackled each area of service with honesty, integrity, dedicated enthusiasm and a winning smile. She was very proud to be one of the first women to be inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame of Manitoba in 1988. Her family was precious to her and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She was a generous, loving Nana, wife and mother. In spite of her illness and the hardships she endured, she was a strong woman always there to listen and support. She enjoyed her dog, gardening and loved to golf. She will be missed beyond words. The family would like to thank Drs. Fine, Tanner, Henry and Barry, as well as the many nurses at St. Boniface Dialysis Unit and 5B Medicine for the loving care Evelyn was given. Special thanks go to Elaine Schaffer, her home care nurse. She so looked forward to your visits. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Mr. Devon Clunis officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyns memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary, Is.40:31 Until we see you again, Elevyn CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements - 586-8044.
