RITA LANDRIAULT (nee ANTOINE) August 18, 1936 - June 30, 2001 Resting peacefully, with her faithful companion Sigmar at her side, Rita left to meet her Lord after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, on June 30, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital. She leaves to celebrate her life her three sons, Roger, Dennis (Sharon) of North Bay, Ont., Gerald (Suzanne) of Chilliwack, B.C., and Ken of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Terri-Lynn, Collin, Ryan, Shayla, Julia, Steven, Amanda and Jordan; sisters, Marie-Rose Antoine and Valerie Fayant (Al) brother Ernest (Mona) nephews, Ronald, Joey, Randy, Danny, Jeffrey, Darrin, Blair, and niece Kayla. Her father Ernest Antoine; mother Anna Antoine and infant son Larry predeceased her. Rita was born in Haywood, Man. in 1936 and lived most of her life in Winnipeg. In her earlier life she greatly enjoyed working in Fly in Fishing Camps at Georgian Bay, Dog Skin Lake and Tall Timber Lodge. In later life, Rita was a devoted housekeeper for Faye and Hilda. Rita enjoyed crocheting and all members of the family and friends have been recipients of her handiwork. She loved gardening and canning her vegetables and looking after plants and flowers. For recreation she liked playing bingo and going to the casinos. Her very precious moments were those spent with her grandchildren. Her zest for life inspired those around her. Prayers and viewing will take place on Wednesday, July 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Haywood Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Rodrigue Bouchard presiding.
