EVELYN ROSE ANN SCHNERCH Peacefully on June 29, 2001 at the Regina General Hospital, Evelyn Schnerch, aged 78 years, formerly of Gimli, MB. Evelyn was born on December 8, 1922 and lived her early years in Gimli where she was raised by her grandparents, the late Michael and Rosalie Gottfried. She married Adam Schnerch in 1942 and they lived in Camp Morton until moving to Gimli in the early 1970s. Adam died in 1993 and she then moved to Regina and lived with her daughter Susan (Terry). Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Susan (Terry) Woods; grandchildren, Kevin Ritchie, Lori-Ann Ritchie (Kevin), Keith Ritchie, Henry McKay Jr., Michael McKay, Earl Schnerch and Ronald Schnerch; seven great-grandchildren; and sister Margaret Coupe (Dennis) in England. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Vera Sales and Alfred Wooding; and two sisters, Freda and Agnes. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Gimli, with Fr. Jose Cabral officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Benedicts Cemetery in Camp Morton. Her pallbearers will be Keith and Kevin Ritchie, Kevin and Garth Ellis, Henry McKay Jr. and Michael McKay. Special thanks to all the staff on 3E at the Regina General Hospital for all their special care.
