EDITH MAE CARTER (nee McGUNIGAL) Peacefully, after a long struggle with Alzheimers disease, Mom left us to be with Papa. She was 81 years of age. Edith was born on November 1, 1919 in Liberty, SK. Edith was predeceased by her husband Duncan (Sonny) Carter, three sisters, six brothers, and daughter-in-law Gerry. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Edith (DeeDee) Boulette (Leslie), Susan Quinn (Michael) and Grace; stepson Ken Carter; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters; and six brothers. Mom was very proud of the fact that she was a Grace Hospital graduate. She graduated as a R.N. from there in 1945. Until she became ill, she loved bowling with the Wednesday Early Morning Risers at the Village Inn. She and Papa were always on the go and did lots of camping and sight-seeing. She was a very special Nana to all who knew her. Our family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Extendicare. We know Mom was cared for, happy and contented. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception will follow. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
