BEULAH MARGUERITE HATCHEN (nee CAWLEY) November 4, 1912 - June 30, 2001 Peacefully, Mother left us to be with Dad, William (Bill) on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at the age of 88. I remember the day I met you, The day God made you mine, Ill remember the day I lost you dear And will till the end of time. With all the tears and heartaches, The one thing that makes me glad Is the day you chose me, To share with you the wonderful years weve had. Theres no parting with those you love, No distance can divide. For today We still walk side by side. My thoughts are with you, Your place no one can fill, In life I loved you dearly, In death, I love you still. I know youll walk beside me, And when my life is through, I pray that God will take my hand, And lead me straight to you. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Mrs. Hatchen was my grade 7 teacher at Lord Kitchener School (which was later renamed John Pritchard). She was fair and had a good sense of humor (which she would have needed in order to put up with my younger self, ha ha). I'm glad she had a long and interesting life. - Posted by: Karl Pfeifer (former student) on: Nov 10, 2020

  • It's been many, many years since I was a pupil of Mrs. Hatchen but I still remember her so fondly! To this day I can still recall how she was so very kind and caring. As a teacher she was absolutely wonderful, fair yet firm. I adored her and I used to shyly approach her after class was over to give her a painting that I had done for her and how she graciously accepted it as if it were not just a painting by a young child but as if it was something precious. I don't doubt that she made many people feel special as that was her beautiful nature. - Posted by: Kim Stoyko (Former student) on: Jan 21, 2014
