WINSTON M. PRATT 1939 - 2001 Winston passed away suddenly at his residence June 30, 2001. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Marilyn, loving daughter Tami, partner Steve Titterton and his adored granddaughter Kendal Joy. Also left to mourn his passing are his sister Marilyn (Robert) of Souris, MB; brothers, Ken (Edith) of Spruce Grove, AB, Laurie, and Tom of Winnipeg; also Marilyns family, her mother Grace; brothers, Raymond (Helen), Allan (Leslie) of Winnipeg, Karen (Terry) of Calgary, AB; numerous nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers. Winston was born in Elgin, MB on October 19, 1939. Winston obtained his high school education in Elgin and later obtained his recreational pilots license. He attended university in Brandon, graduating from the University of Manitoba with a degree in agriculture. Winston farmed for a few years, married Marilyn in 1963 and they later settled in Winnipeg. Winston was a career person and worked for Franklin Enterprises for over 20 years, helping to build the company. The love of his family and his work with the company was his life. Winston will be remembered as being a strong and caring person, always willing to help others. He loved camping, entertaining and reading. He was soft spoken and had a great love of children. Winston was predeceased by his parents, Marshal and Mary Pratt and father-in-law John. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Winstons life at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor, Wednesday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Clark Saunders officiating. Interment to follow at a later date in the family plot at Elgin. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. Neil Bardal Inc. in charge of arrangements, 949-2200.
