SANTOS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grand-father, and uncle, Jesus, after a lengthy illness on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at the age of 55. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Gloria Santos. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 31 years, Lilia; his daughter Jocelyn (Wilfredo) Edic; sons, Jonathan, Jayson (Christy) and granddaughter Camryn. He will be also missed by his brothers and sisters, Roberto (Teresita) Santos, Tereita (Ruben) Manabat, Helen (Eddie) Cruz, Emma (Roman) Zamora, Nestor (Estella) Santos, Myraflor (Boni) De Leon, Charito (Sam) Magarro, Joseph (Marie) Santos; as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law in Los Angeles and Phillipines. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, nieces, and their families, Richard, Christine, Elizabeth, Peter (Heidi, Nathan), Cheryl (Arnold, Christian, Hayley), Meg, G.R., Kelly, Sara, Dean, Ian, Krista, Jansen, Anthony, Darnell, Ashley, Harley, Darwin, D.J., Faye, Kirby, and Gary (Sally, Rosemarie) his cousins and extended family. Jessie was born April 19, 1946, Manila, Phillipines, and with his family, he immigrated to Canada in 1974. He worked at St. Boniface General Hospital until his recent retirement where he made many friendships. His passions in life were gardening, camping, fishing, spending time with his family, and playing with his baby dog Snickers. Many thanks to Dr. Cameron, Dr. Mehta, Dr. Dean, Dr. Harlos, and the emergency staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital who helped him through his lengthy illness. Jessie will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, caring and respected brother, uncle, and friend. "Pa, we love you and we miss you until we see you again." Lamay will be held on Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight from the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, from St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre.
