SYLVIA HINTER (nee MARCINYK) Sylvia passed away with her family at her side peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2001, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. The birds, which she regularly fed, sang through the window as she quietly slipped away. She was predeceased by her father Paul in 1968; her mother Mary in 1996; and her brother Metro in 1993. Sylvia is survived by her husband Allan of 33 years; daughters Lisa (Dave) Lamblin of Chicago, Karen (friend Jason Boulet) of Calgary; grandchildren Michelle, Evan and Emma Lamblin; brother Sadley (Janice) sister in-law Eileen; numerous nieces and nephews. Sylvia was born on July 22, 1945 in Sandy Lake. She attended Sandy Lake Collegiate and then took a Secretarial course at Success Commercial College in Brandon. She worked for numerous years at Manitoba Medical Services and Ladco Homes. Her greatest love was showing pictures of her grandchildren to all of her family and friends and sending greeting cards to everyone for every occasion. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Rev. Fr. Ernie Hafichuk officiating. Special thanks to nurse Marlene Pomarenski for her kindness and consideration to the family. Pallbearers will be Dave Lamblin, Jason Boulet, Ted Gault, Vince Morran, Craig Asselstine and Tanis Asselstine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Sylvia can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
