Currie, born November 23, 1918 in Vancouver, BC, wishes to belatedly inform friends, patients, and colleagues that he went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 3, 2001. Dr. Roy was predeceased by his five brothers, Elwood (Winnipeg), Allen (Sprague and Fisher Branch, MB), Minto (Hope, BC), Lloyd (Ladner, BC), Harold (Peace River, AB) and two sisters, Viola Costen (Sprague), and Alma Humpries (Brandon). He is survived by his loving wife Agnes M. Currie; his two daughters, Mary (Peter Campbell), and Darlene; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dr. Roy practiced medicine in Canada and the U.S.A. before retiring in San Antonio. Funeral mass took place Friday, April 6 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Huntingtons Disease Society.
