Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD MURPHY On Tuesday, July 3, 2001, Don Murphy of Winnipeg, suddenly passed away at age 68. Don was predeceased by his loving wife Phyllis of 45 years and his father William. Don will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son Curt and his wife Mary; granddaughters, Kalie and Shannon and their mother Kathy; son Bradley and his partner Terri, grandson Robi (Amy) and great-granddaughters, Cora and Makalya, grandson Jason and granddaughter Mandy and their mother Tammy; daughter Darby and husband Don Deveson and grandson Blaine. Don is also survived by his mother Marge Murphy; sisters, Shirley (Herb), Carol (Eugene) and numerous nieces and nephews of Anaheim, CA. Born in Winnipeg on April 11, 1933, he was employed by Christie Biscuits where he met and married Phyllis and raised their three children. He continued on to Canada Post where he remained many years until his retirement. Don played a very active part in his community. He was very active in the Catholic Church and served on many committees. He was also Grand Knight for Local 11005, St. Edwards Council. He also served on the finance committee and volunteered at Seven Oaks Hospital. Don will be remembered by his smile and his caring ways. He was also very cheerful and everyone loved being around him. He was especially proud of his childrens achievements and very much loved his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dons memory to a charity of ones choice. Prayers will be held from the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Polz at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7 at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
