Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BRUCE ROBERTSON 1930 - 2001 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at the Deer Lodge Centre, Bruce passed away at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving wife Dawna; two daughters, Sharon Officer (Arthur) and Heather Robertson; two granddaughters, Brenda and Ashley; sister Barbara; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Jennie and Maxwell Robertson; and by two brothers, Stanley and David. Bruce was born in Calgary, AB on October 27, 1930, moved to Medicine Hat and then to Winnipeg where he graduated from Gordon Bell High School. He held a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Johns College (University of Manitoba), a Bachelor of Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba as well. During his career, Bruce was a high school math and chemistry teacher, then a school principal and latterly with the Department of Education. A private family service will be held in the Deer Lodge Centre Chapel, 2109 Portage Ave., with Rev. Aubrey Hemminger officiating. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care, N119 - 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
