Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE DHAENE March 3, 1924 - July 4, 2001 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of George O. Dhaene on Wednesday, July 4, 2001. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved friend Mary; his loving sons, Marcel (Eileen) and Ray (Lorrane) also his grandkids, Chuck, Ashlay, Pat, Jeff, and Roxanne. He will also be missed by his two sisters, Yvonne (Winnipeg) and Georgettia (California). George will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, nieces, and their families. Dad was employed by C.N. Rail as a pipefitter until his early retirement. Then he enjoyed his time off travelling and being with family and friends. Dad was a member of the Eagles Aerie 23 Dagmar, and also the Belgian Club, due to his mom and dad being of Belgian descent. Now he goes to his mom and dad to be with them for eternal life with no pain and worries. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9 in the Christ the King Church, 847 St. Marys Rd., with Fr. Ron Pasinato officiating. Viewing will be held prior to mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Belgian Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of the palliative care unit at Riverview, and the staff at the Victoria Hospital 4th floor. Be at peace, Dad. We will miss you.
