ARTHUR EDWARD BULGER December 16, 1908 - February 3, 2001 On February 3, 2001, Mr. Arthur E. Bulger passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years. He was predeceased by his wife Doris and is survived by one brother Cyril (Josephine) of Chesterville, ON. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Kaye Leigh of Vancouver, BC, Phil Phillips of Coquitlam, BC, and John Moser of New Westminster, BC. He will be sadly missed by many special friends. Arthur was born in Cardiff, Wales, UK. He immigrated to Canada in 1938 and settled in McAuley, MB where he met and married Doris Garrett of Melita, MB. He operated a general store until 1968 when he moved to Vancouver, BC where he worked at Simon Fraser University until the age of 67. In his retirement, Art pursued his greatest passion - music. He played with a couple of seniors bands, touring throughout the Lower Mainland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustines Catholic Church, 327-4th St., in Brandon, MB with interment to follow at the cemetery in Melita. Cremation has taken place. Special appreciation and thanks to the staff of the Coquitlam Legion, fellow band members, Dr. Reid and staff, and to the caregivers at the Royal Columbian Emergency ward for their care and compassion.
