They farmed and lived in Whitemouth and area for 42 years, moved to Kelowna, BC for three years, then moved to Beausejour in 1979 to spend the remainder of their years near their many family and friends. Albert sold their home in 1997 following Elsies move to East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home. He moved to Stoney Plains Terrace Senior Home where he resided until his passing. Albert was a caring and giving person and in his younger years, he generously devoted time and energy to community and especially church activities. He rarely missed a Sunday church service. He loved playing horseshoes, cutting firewood, fixing bicycles, and had a real passion for music and singing. His vibrant baritone voice will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of hearing him sing. There will be viewing on Sunday, July 8 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with special music and memories by the family at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour. MISS ME, BUT LET ME GO When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone, Its part of the Masters Plan A step on the road to home. So when you are lonely and sick at heart Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds Miss me, but let me go. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM in care of arrangements.
