Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY BOURNE February 14, 1926 - July 1, 2001 It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony Bourne announces his death. He was predeceased by his wife Helen. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Beverly Goy (Al), Marvyn Bourne, Barry Bourne (Darlene), Judy Taylor and Shawn Bourne (Cathy) his grandchildren, Shawna Goy, Jeff Goy, Corey and Krista Bourne, Tamara Bourne and Ed Swereda, Spencer Bourne, Jordan Bourne, Tasha Taylor, Megan Taylor, Lindsay Taylor, Ariel Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Julia Taylor. Also left to mourn his passing, lifelong friend Helen Albo. Anthony grew up in Winnipeg and worked with his father delivering coal. Pops hard work ethic continued into adulthood. He worked for the C.N.R. and the Winnipeg School Division. Those who had the privilege of knowing Pops knew what a caring and generous person he was. Pops greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren. From graduations, weddings and the births of each of his grandchildren, he beamed with pride and pleasure. To the children of Anthony Bourne, he would not want you to mourn his passing, but instead to celebrate his life. Pops would want you to find joy in each day and to cherish the moments. To his grandchildren, he would want you to be all that you are and can be. In sorrow, strength and family can be found. If we had only known it was our last walk in the rain Wed keep you out for hours in the storm We would hold your hand, like a lifeline to our heart And underneath the thunder wed be warm If we had only known it was our last walk in the rain. If we had only known wed never hear your voice again Wed memorize each thing you ever said And on these lonely nights, we could think of them once more And keep your words alive inside our head If we had only known wed never hear your voice again. You were the treasure in our heart You were the one who always stood beside us So unaware, we foolishly believed that you would always be there But then there came a day when we closed our eyes And you slipped away If we had only known it was our last night with you Wed pray a miracle would stop the dawn And when you smiled at us, We would look into your eyes And make sure you knew our love for you goes on and on If we had only known, If we had only known The love we would have shown If we had only known. The Bourne Family would like to thank the staff of MICU at St. Boniface Hospital. Your care and devotion to our father and our family was greatly appreciated. A private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Childrens Cancer Fund in care of Cancercare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. P.
