DAVID JOHN KENNEDY It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of David John Kennedy on Thursday, July 5, 2001 at the Victoria General Hospital. David was predeceased by his parents, John Brodie and Jane Kennedy; his sister Dorothy Peachey; brother-in-law Ken Peachey and brother Dennis Kennedy. David will be sadly missed by his wife Wallie; stepdaughter Robyn Bennett; stepson Christopher Bennett; son John and his mother Mary Lou Kennedy all of Winnipeg. Also survived by his brother Leonard (Tia) of Calgary and numerous relatives and friends. David was born on July 10, 1938 in Regina, SK and moved to Winnipeg in 1963. He was employed with Federal Pioneer (now Pauwels) between 1959-1969, and then worked with Manitoba Hydro until his retirement in 1996. David worked as a consultant from 1996-2001. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, at 3:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. If friends so desire, donations in memory of David may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or to the Multiple Sclerosis of Canada, Winnipeg & District Chapter, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
