EDWARD ROGER "TED" WALSH Suddenly, after a brief illness, Edward Roger "Ted" Walsh passed away on Wednesday, July 4 at the age of 72 years. Ted is survived by his son David Peterkin (Ana) daughter Wendy Peterkin (Bill) grandchildren, Bryan and Michael Peterkin; brother Robert Walsh; and very special friend Kathy Horkoff and her family. Ted will be sadly missedalso by many nieces and nephews and everyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Emma Walsh; his brothers, John, Tolbert, and George Walsh; his sister Elizabeth Callahan; his wife Barbara (Peterkin) Walsh; and his first wife Lorraine (Duguay) Walsh. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Ted followed a wide and varied career path from Watch Repair at Sears to Correctional Officer for The Provincial Government. He enjoyed bowling, the Arts, and going on road trips. His love for music was well demonstrated in his piano playing. He was a natural. There will be a celebration of Teds life at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10 in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. T. Hidichuk officiating. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the M.I.C.U. at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and kindness given to Ted.
