Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK WILLIAM MCINTOSH "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." With sorrow the family announces the passing of our dear father and grandfather, aged 85, on July 5, 2001. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Caye in 1992, as well as his brother Harvey and sister Ora Mae. He is survived by his eldest son Dewar and wife Denise, their children Scott and Stacey; Deanne and Jeff (Murchison) with great-granddaughter Jaime; Jeff and Lorna; son Dennis and wife Olga of Warman, SK, their children Kathy, Suzanne and Kelly (Henderson) and daughter Susan and husband Ed Goertzen and their children, Nathan and Jennifer; as well as brother Cecil of Winnipeg and sister Phyllis of Calgary. Fred was born in MacGregor, MB and resided there until the Second World War when he was stationed in Calgary. They returned to Manitoba in 1946 when he became a grain buyer. They later moved to Winnipeg in 1952 where Fred joined the Winnipeg Transit retiring in 1978. After his retirement, he and Caye enjoyed many years of travel as well being active in the Charleswood Horticultural Society. Fred was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Charleswood Baptist Church and more recently Grant Memorial Baptist Church where he served and had many dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Our deepest thanks to the staff at 3 East Deer Lodge Centre for the dignified and compassionate care given to our Dad during his final days. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Bible Society, 952 St. Marys Rd., Winnipeg or Union Gospel Mission, 320 Princess, Winnipeg. "Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death ,my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living."
