Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRIET MURGATROYD (DR. HARRIET M. PERRY MD) LEDERMAN Harriet passed away June 20, 2001, in Vernon, BC. She was born on August 12, 1914 in Winnipeg, MB and lived there for most of her life. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Bob (1944) and Ted (2001) and her husband, John (Jack) Macdonald Lederman M.D. (1962). Harriet is survived by her two sons, John and Bob Lederman; and her daughter Kathie (Mrs. Andy Mather) and her grandsons, Matthew and Patrick Lederman. Harriet graduated in medicine (1940), from the University of Manitoba. She practiced until 1947 when she and Jack began their family. During her life, Harriet pursued her interest in art by serving on the Board of Governors of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and participating in the Art Appreciation Group. She was also a longtime member of the Board of Governors of both the St. Vital and the Winnipeg Public Libraries. In 1967, Harriet became the Principal of Balmoral Hall School for Girls and remained there until 1973, after which she returned to the University of Manitoba to enjoy her studies in English and Film. Harriet lived on Victoria Crescent, in St. Vital, for 50 years, where she and her good friend Olga DeVries welcomed all who came to 07-07-2001
