Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURA GILLESPIE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Laura Gillespie on July 4, 2001 at her residence at the age of 95 years, eight months. She is survived by her husband Fred; nephews, Art and Betty Colfer and James and Betty Colfer; and special friend Betty Baines and family; and numerous Gillespie nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Millie Colfer, and brother Bud Powell. Laura was born and lived in Sprague all her life. She lived a wonderful and happy life in Sprague with her husband Fred. She was well known for her many years of service to the community by playing the piano, supplying eggs and milk to loyal customers and also her many years of service to the National Weather Bureau. Laura will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 9 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sprague Baptist Church with Pastor John Klassen officiating. Interment will follow in the Sprague Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. 204-326-1351.
