SALOMEA WASSERMAN (ROSZAK) October 3, 1919 - July 5, 2001 Our Mother and Babcia passed away at the age of 81, in the evening of July 5, 2001 at Seven Oaks Hospital, with family at her side. Salomea was pre-deceased by her husband Jakub, in January 1997, and in Poland by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, are her children, Marian (Grazyna), Barbara (Peter) Karel, Henry, Edward (Catherine) her grandchildren, Richard and Suzanne Wasserman, Jennifer, Roger and David Karel, Lisa, Ryan and Joshua Wasserman; and twin great-grandchildren, Eric and Emily, and many relatives in Poland. Salomea was born on October 3, 1919 in Bochlewo, near Konin, Poland. After the war she met her husband Jakub. She lived in Poland until leaving for Canada in 1970 with her husband and four children, and adjusted to a new land, and language, without knowing anyone at first. All for a better life for their children. Prayers will be said on Sunday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. The pallbearers will be her five grandsons, Richard, Roger, Ryan, David, and Joshua, and a family friend Kham Vilaykeo.
