STELLA DOMBROWSKI Peacefully, on Friday, July 6, 2001, Stella Dombrowski, aged 105 years, passed away at St. Josephs Residence. Stella was born in Poland on December 25, 1895. She came to Canada in August 1928 to join her husband Antoni, who arrived in Canada in May 1927. She was predeceased by her husband in 1985. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Edward) Winiarz; grandson Edward (Maureen) Winiarz; granddaughters, Stanis (Maurice) Steffano, Christine (David) Searle and Teresa Winiarz; great-grandsons, Craig (Heidi) Steffano, Keith Steffano, Derek Steffano and Scott Winiarz; great-granddaughter Shawna Winiarz; and great-great-grandson Joshua and Seth. Stella was a kind and loving grandmother, who was always there for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her garden and was gardening into her nineties. We will all miss her wonderful home cooking. She was a lifetime member of St. John Cantius Fraternal Aide Society. Heartfelt thank to the St. Josephs Nursing staff. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. with Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.,V.F. officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Rev. Fr. Terance McGrath officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stellas memory to St. Josephs Residence. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements - 586-8044.
