LORNE STEWART CARTER On Thursday, July 5, 2001, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Lorne passed away in the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Surviving is his loving family: wife Carolyn; daughter Laura; sons, Ron (Bonnie) and Russell. He is also survived by three sisters, Dorothy, Blanche (Nick), Rita (Eddie) his aunt Doris Carter; special cousin Ken Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Dad was a very kind and giving man. He loved his family, helping others, keeping his yard and garden picture-perfect and the trips to Kenora. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. Demsas, Dr. Unruh, Dr. Chowdhury, and all the nurses who took such good care of Dad over the years. At dads request, a private family service will be in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
