Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA BANMAN April 2, 1909 - July 7, 2001 It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother, Wilma Banman after a long battle with cancer. Our treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away on July 7, 2001. Wilma was born on April 2, 1909 in Germany. She was married to Hans Heirich Helms in 1933 and widowed in 1941. She raised her three girls alone and followed them to Canada in 1960 where she married Aaron Banman. She was predeceased by her daughter Erika in 1965 and Aaron in 1979. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Ursula Schlichter (Willi), daughter Christa Sabados (John) her grandchildren, Peter (Lucie), Gaby (Brent), Debbie (Gary), Elizabeth (Roy) and all her great-grandchildren. The family extends sincerest thanks and appreciation to the nurses and all the staff of the Bethania Nursing Home who provided loving and attentive care during her stay there. In lieu of flowers donations to Bethania Nursing Home in memory of our dear grandmother would be favoured. A private family service will be held Tuesday, April 10.
