Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKURT F. E. ROEDER On July 6, 2001 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 80 years. Left to mourn his passing are his partner of 25 years, Ursula Merck; daughter Peggy (Wilf) Last; special grandchildren, Christine and Kate-Lynn. Kurt was predeceased by his parents; and three sisters all in Germany. Born in 1920, he grew up in Germany, served in the German Army, escaped from East Germany in 1948, immigrating to Canada in 1956, spending the remainder of his years in Winnipeg. Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeff Sisler and Staff on A-6 South at St. Boniface Hospital for their demonstration of compassion and care.
