Mary was pre-deceased by her husband John; her daughters, Anne Prymak, Mable Fraser; her son Bill Kane; and grandson Robert Fraser; as well as baby Evangeline Kowalchuk. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Helen Holden (Terry) of Vancouver, Angela Doherty; sisters, Teenie Olyarnick, Rose Corkal, Eileen Humeny; and brother Mike Moroz (Helen) her son-in-law Neil Fraser and daughter-in-law Verna Mulholland (Regina). Mary was a proud baba and granny of 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her garden flourishes and her memory will live on through her children and grandchildren. Mary was born January 4, 1911 and raised in Fraserwood, MB. Mary and John later moved to Winnipeg where Mary was employed by the T. Eaton Co. until her retirement. She was devoted to family and always there with a helping hand, unselfishly. Mary had a difficult life but maintained her sense of humour and warmth. It was always a happy home, filled with good food, good times and good friends. Pallbearers: Mike Moroz, Neil Doherty, Laura Doherty, Karen Burns, Brian Fraser and Brent Kane. My favorite Granny was a treasure to all who knew her. A Christlike woman who taught me to love my Savior. Her devotion to Jesus Christ and to her family was exemplary. She always had warm smiles and warm perogies ready when we came to see her from many miles away. Mary Moroz Kowalchuk knew the meaning of love, hard work and patience. She taught me by who she was, more than what she ever said. Mary did have a hard life growing up on a farm, having to pick rocks from the land in order to clear the soil to grow food. Her back had troubles from hauling heavy buckets of water from a young age. She had a lot of work in her adult years caring for her big garden and big family, and she modelled unselfishness as she did so. I look forward to our beautiful reunion and an eternity together as a family. - Posted by: Carole Bowyer (grandchild) on: Sep 06, 2015
