WILMA McGAW Wilma McGaw, a 50-year resident of Chilliwack, BC, passed away in hospital on July 6, 2001 at the age of 92. She was known as a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by many. Her husband, Kenneth, died in 1972 and her eldest son Gerry in 1991. All three were principals in the insurance and real estate business in the Chilliwack area. Wilma was one of 11 children born to David and Sarah Smith, who operated the family farm at Kelloe, near Shoal Lake, MB. She leaves five great-grandchildren, Sean, Jessica and Rachel LeGear, Julie and Michelle McGaw; six grandchildren, Lisa LeGear, Marli and Jason McGaw, Dr. John and Shelley McGaw and Cathie McGaw-Russell; her remaining son Jack; brothers, David Smith of Abbotsford and Bob Smith of Winnipeg; daughters-in-law, Lois and Marcia McGaw; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great- grandnephews and hundreds of admiring bridge partners. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 12 at Chilliwack United Church. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers.
