MELVILLE W. McMILLAN (MICKEY) Suddenly, on July 8, 2001, Mickey passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 52. Mickey was predeceased by his father Leo; mother Florence; and infant sister Fern. Mickey is survived by three sons, Melville Jr., Lyle, and Jessie; three sisters, Leona, Emily Thomas (Cliff), and Sandra Sandul; two brothers, Miles (Tammy) and Marvin (Lucy) very special family friend Roland Barron; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mickey was born in Winnipeg on July 25, 1948. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he was a handyman and was there to help anyone who needed a hand. Mickey lived for his boys. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, July 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mickey will be laid to rest with his mother and nephew. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
