ANTHONY JOSEPH DROZDOWSKI June 3, 1936 - July 8, 2001 It is with great sadness that the family of Anthony Drozdowski announces his passing on Sunday, July 8, 2001 at the St. Norbert Nursing Home. Anthony passed away peacefully after a very long and hard battle with Parkinsons disease. He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his three sons, Dwayne (Darlene), Kevin, and David (Erin) Drozdowski; three grandchildren, Jereme, Amanda, and Tyler Drozdowski; ex-wife Lorraine Boyer; special companion "Mitzy"; brothers, Walter (Mary) of Toronto, Andrew (Gracie) of Vancouver; and sister Elizabeth McLaughin of Toronto. Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Marie; sisters, Mary Hatch and Margaret Marchdanz. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and the incredible nurses at the St. Norbert Nursing Home. You all made Anthonys days a little brighter. Thank you Phillip for all your kind words. David extends a special thank you to Jacqueline Rocan (social worker at the St. Norbert Nursing Home). Your help gave both him and his dad a chance to make a few more memories together. We appreciate all you do. Anthony was a very proud father. To be misunderstood is a difficult way to exist. To fight as many battles and continue to strive, shows strength and courage. Through it all, you had the ability to laugh even when times were tough. You expressed your willingness to help, even when it was beyond your means. Now you are free from pain. Thanks Dad for teaching us to always have dreams, to never give up, and to always fight to the end. You will be missed. Love David, Kevin, and Dwayne. Funeral services will be held at the St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. on Thursday, July 12. Rev. Dr. Fr. Patrick Morand will celebrate the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. The service will terminate at the church. Cremation will follow. A reception for family and friends will be held at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthonys memory to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
