ELLEN MARGARET MITCHELL (nee PEARSON) Peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at the Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg, MB., Ellen Mitchell, aged 96 years, beloved wife of the late James Fordyce Mitchell, formerly of Pine Falls, MB. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son John Mitchell of Calgary, AB; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Martha Rigby of Winnipeg, and Olga Barclay of Duncan, BC. Ellen was predeceased by her husband James in August of 1987. Ellen and her husband James lived in Pine Falls for over 45 years and it was only after her husband passed away that she moved to Winnipeg. She loved being a part of the community and regretted leaving all the memories behind. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place on Thursday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. from the Pine Falls Cemetery, Pine Falls, MB. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Ellens memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9.
