EILEEN KEITH Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Eileen Keith, aged 74 years, passed away at Golden West Centennial Lodge on July 9, 2001. Eileen is predeceased by her parents, William and Sirlla Elliott and her sister Carol Egan. She is survived by her husband Lester; her sons, Bill (Luisa) and Rob (Angela) and her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kyle and Stephanie. Eileen was born in Emo, Ontario and educated in Winnipeg. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts and a Teaching Certificate from the United College in association with the University of Manitoba. She taught in Gimli and other smaller Manitoba towns. Eileen enjoyed to travel, to curl and was an avid reader. After her marriage to Lester, she lived on a farm in Headingley, Manitoba for most of her life and moved to Winnipeg in her later years. Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden West for all of their care and support. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, on Friday, July 13, at 3:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at the Lasting Tribute Chapel at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 204-825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1M5.
