Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN ROBERTSON PALMER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Glen Palmer on July 12, 2001. Glen will be deeply missed by his sons, Ron of Petersfield and Wayne (Alice) of Calgary; daughter Ellen (Jim) Brennan of Chilliwack, BC. He also leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Stewart (Ruth) and Neil (Freda) sister Carol (Herb) daughter-in-law Joan; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; father John Martyn Palmer; and mother Margaret Palmer. Glen was born in Ridgeville, MB on September 24, 1919 and moved to Petersfield in 1920. He married Dorothy in 1940. Glen took great pride in family, farm and Hereford cattle and horses. Tending to his garden was a great hobby as he had the same passion as his mother, being a great lover of nature. Glen was known for his carefree, loving personality and his ability to be everybodys friend. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place and the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion given to Glen during his illness. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Glens memory to a charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
