Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD DUNCAN BELL Edward Duncan Bell, "Poppa", of a Scottish pioneering family, born November 8, 1906 in Basswood, MB, died peacefully July 9, 2001 in West Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by his beloved wife Emily (Francis) in 1990, he is survived by daughters, Gail Diana Marus and Patricia Anne Fehlauer; sons-in-law, Irvin John Marus and Helmut Fehlauer; grandchildren, Meghan (Jaimie), Brian, Jennifer (Steven), Lisle (Suzanne), and Heidi; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Harrison, Henry and Wyatt. A hard worker, Edward spent 34 years with Westfair Foods before retiring in 1971. Some of his greatest work came afterwards when he volunteered for C.E.S.O., assigned to Brazil and C.A.S.E. in Manitoba and British Columbia. He was an independent thinker and a thoughtful man whose respect for others, appreciation for Bells scotch whiskey and his refined sense of humour brought joy to family, friends and strangers alike. We love you Poppa; you will be greatly missed.
